About the Solar for All Program

Solar for All is a DC Department of Energy and Environment program that helps eligible District residents lower their electricity costs through solar energy. Approved participants may receive credits directly on their monthly Pepco electricity bills.

Potential Savings
Program participants may receive up to approximately $500 in annual electricity bill savings for up to 15 years.

How Our Community Participates

Our community participates in Solar for All through its solar carports.  Solar carports installed above the communitys parking areas generate clean, renewable energy and allow the property to participate in the Districts Solar for All initiative. Property participation does not automatically enroll individual residents.

Could You Be Eligible?

Solar for All is available to income-qualified District residents. Review the official resident resource page for current income limits, eligibility requirements, and documentation guidance.

You May Already Meet the Guidelines

Residents who receive certain forms of public assistance may already meet the programs income guidelines, including:

  • SNAP benefits
  • LIHEAP assistance
  • TANF benefits
  • UDP benefits
  • Supplemental Security Income
  • A housing voucher
  • DC Healthcare Alliance coverage

How to Apply

Review the eligibility requirements.
Confirm that your household may qualify and gather any information requested by the program.

Select the English or Spanish application and submit the requested household information.

Wait for a program decision.
Solar for All will review your application and notify you of your eligibility and enrollment status.

Important Program Information

  • There may be a waitlist for community solar enrollment.
  • Enrollment and the start of bill credits may take approximately two to six months.
  • Credits cannot be received if the participants Pepco account is disconnected.
  • Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or enrollment.
  • Program requirements and benefits are managed by Solar for All and may change.
